SABINE COUNTY HOSPITAL DISTRICT
Our District
We have served as the primary care for and overseen the well-being of Sabine County since 1975.
The Sabine County Hospital District was created in May, 1975 during the 64th Session of the Texas Legislature for the purpose of establishing a hospital or a hospital system within its boundaries to furnish hospital and medical care to the residents of the district. This district provides all necessary hospital and medical care for the needy inhabitants of the district.
It is governed by a board of five directors elected from the community.

Elections are held for Precincts 1 and 3, and Member at Large positions on alternating years with Precincts 2 and 4. Even number years are used for elections in Precincts 1 and 3, and Member at Large, and Odd numbered years for Precincts 2 and 4. All elections are held during the month of May.
Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month at 5:30 PM in the Board Room (#167) at the Sabine County Hospital, 2301 State Hwy 83 W; Hemphill, Texas.
